In the southern coast area of Mallorca it is located one of the most important natural landscapes of the island —the dunes system of Es Trenc, the wet adjacent area of lakes in the Salobral of Campos, and different territories used for farming. This area of the island has a Mediterranean semiarid mesothermal weather, with an annual average temperature of 17 C, and the lowest precipitation values of the island, an average of 400 mm.
